I took a trip to Ukraine, To Sumy Oblast not far from the Russian border. I found the babuskas quite charming, with their scarf covered heads, mushrooms, flowers, fruits, vegetables and everything else under the sun that they offer to passersby in the evenings. I wish I could have spoken to them, but alas, I could not.
