Celebrating Our Strength in Our Diversity 2026: A World of Difference, United Through Art

Imagine a world where everyone was the same. The same ideas, the same experiences, the same ways of seeing and creating. How much would we lose?
Celebrating Our Strength in Our Diversity 2026, now taking place online at www.chinwerussell.com, shines a spotlight on the important role diversity plays in our world.
The exhibition invites us to look beyond our own experiences, appreciate different perspectives and recognise the strength that comes from our differences.
Diversity is present in the people we meet, the environments we inhabit, the traditions we carry and the ideas we share. It shapes how we live, how we solve problems and how we imagine the future. Through art, we can explore these differences with curiosity and find connections we might otherwise overlook.
At a time when division and intolerance are becoming more visible, this exhibition offers an invitation to pause, look closer and consider what we share.
Different voices, a shared exhibition
The participating artists bring a wide range of subjects and approaches to the exhibition. Their artwork titles alone open up conversations about identity, family, belonging, nature, solidarity and the freedom to express ourselves.
Works such as Aderopo Afolabi’s WOMEN WITH ALBINISM, Jenny Bradbury’s Preconceptions and Oluwaseyi Adeyemo’s Embracing our differences invite us to consider how we see one another. Titles including Joyce Aranuwa’s Higher Together, Natasha Haydon’s Stronger Together and Jon Michaels’s Standing Together echo the exhibition’s central message.
Other contributions widen the conversation to our relationship with the planet. Labinota Limani’s Echoes of the Earth, Laura Bernardeschi Nelson’s Hands Over a Warming Sea and Jolly’s She is mother earth offer starting points for reflection on the world we inhabit.
These are invitations to explore rather than fixed interpretations. Each artwork deserves time and attention, and each visitor will bring their own experiences to what they see.
Support the artists: vote for your favourite
You don’t need to be an art expert to know what you love. An artwork might catch your attention, remind you of someone, challenge an assumption or express something you have struggled to put into words.
Visit the exhibition, follow your curiosity and vote for your favourite artwork for the People’s Choice Award. Your vote is a way to support the participating artists and recognise their creativity.
